Would you like to know more about our concrete toppings and coatings?
Here are a few of the most common questions our clients have been asking:
Though often used interchangeably, the words concrete and cement refer to two different things. Cement is a binding agent used in making concrete, while concrete is a mixture of cement, water and an aggregate of rock or sand.
We recommend that you wait at least 24 hours to walk on any new concrete surface.
Older concrete surfaces without a proper coating or top layer are extremely porous. This leaves the surface exposed to moisture intrusion, cracking and compression. Concrete restoration services will increase structural depth and strength.
A concrete coating is liquid or semi-liquid solution applied to cured concrete. Coatings are available in a wide range of colors to enhance the appearance of concrete surfaces. Coatings can make concrete more glossy, slip-resistant or stain-resistant.
Concrete that hasn’t been properly sealed will tend to require more frequent repairs. Unsealed concrete is much more likely to crack under extreme temperature changes and become discolored from mold, stains and water intrusion.
